In the UK, it came to attention the mistreatment and misuse over AI and chatbots over using prompts that had to deal with inappropriate content having to do with underage/preteen characters. Some examples of this from the article are, ““child prostitute in a hotel”, “sex with your child while your wife is on holiday” and “child and teacher alone after class”” (Milmo 3). There was also reports of child abuse imagery, as well as AI generated sexual abuse images. The part that frightens me the most with this article is that it also says, “Users of the site. . .Are also given the option of generating more images similar to the illegal content already on display” (Milmo 5).
As a result of these allegations and experiences coming up, the UK government announced plans for an AI bill that focuses on the future development and banning the usage and possession of AI generated child sexual abuse. The article also brings up how “The IWF has reported a marked increase in reports of AI-generated abuse material in the first six months of this year, up 400% on the same period last year, with video content surging due to improvements in the technology behind the images” (Milmo 13). This further brings into how the UK is going to be doing what they can to get rid of the crimes being faced against minors, and how they are very clear when it comes to the law.
