Goldberg, Alyssa. “Trump posted about a medical conspiracy theory called ‘medbeds.’ Here’s what’s going on.” USA Today, 29 September 2025. https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/health-wellness/2025/09/29/trump-medbeds-ai-health-misinformation/86423039007/
Current President, Donald Trump, had apparently shared a video to his truth Social account promoting “medbeds”; which he later deleted. Medbeds, a QAnon rooted conspiracy theory, where it claims to be a cure-all-ills medical bed. The video, that resembled a Fox News segment, showcasing Trump talking about these medbeds, appeared to be AI generated.
To me, this was very interesting to read about. I had seen Trump’s posts of various AI generated images that always tried to showcase him, his Presidency, and Republican’s, as “better” or “perfect”. For example, when he and the White House account, posted Trump depicted as the Pope. So, seeing this article about this new AI generated post with him talking about medbeds, was not surprising to see. But with all we’ve talked about in our discussions, knowing our President/Government is confidently posting AI generated images/videos, is sad to see. Especially, when the AI is being used to promote incorrect information or promote dangerous ideology.
