In this article, the authors discuss how chatbots such as Enoch and Arya are being made specifically for right-wing consumers. The chatbots are designed to give answers that promote Christian nationalism. They also have been shown to call protests political violence while downplaying the actions of violent right-wing groups. The creation of these chatbots continues to raise concerns and fears that the widespread use of AI will lead to the mass spread of misinformation.
I found the content of this article horrifying. But, I think it offers readers a clear look at how AI can be used and is being used for political agendas. How these programs are used to sow false information and anger is something we all need to be mindful of.
